If you run a trade business, a lot of new jobs start on a phone, in the car, with someone typing “plumber near me” or “handyman in Plano.” They do not land on your truck first. They land on a map.

That’s your Google Business Profile

A Google Business Profile is the listing people see on Google Maps and in the local results — your name, hours, photos, reviews, and a button to call. It is how homeowners discover you when they are standing in a flooded kitchen and need someone close.

If that listing is thin, missing, or looks like nobody claimed it, they tap the next pin. The profile is not extra marketing. It is the storefront Google already built for you. You either fill it in or you let the shop down the road take the call.

Google takes the listing more seriously when a real site is linked

Google does not treat every pin the same. A complete profile with a professional website attached looks like a real shop. A profile with no website — or a Facebook page, or a half-finished Wix link — looks like a name on a map.

The site is extra proof. Google can check that your name, phone, services, and area match what the listing says. A homeowner who taps through gets a page that looks like you mean business, not a blank template. Both of those things help the listing show up higher when someone nearby searches for what you do.

A website does not guarantee the top spot. Distance, reviews, and how complete the profile is still count. But a professional site linked to the profile is one of the clearer signals that you are a business Google can stand behind.

Get the site right. Put that address on the Google listing. Then the pin and the page tell the same story.

If you’d rather someone handle it

That’s the work Turnkey Tech does for tradesmen in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. After a short conversation, I design and build a professional website, put it live, and keep it online — so your Google listing has a real site behind it, not a page you meant to finish later. You can see how it works and what it costs on the homepage, or just call or text if you want to talk it through.
